# Terms of Service

Document ID: terms
Version: 0.4-testing
Effective: 23 October 2026
Operator: AlkhemYst-Ai AS, Asker, Norway
Contact: contact@alkhemyst-ai.cloud

These terms apply to the free testing version of AlkhemYst-Ai.cloud. Paid self-service plans remain closed. AlkhemYst-Ai AS is a Norwegian limited company with its registered address in Asker, Norway; its registration in the Register of Business Enterprises is in progress, and its organisation number will be added here once assigned. Paid service levels and final commercial terms will be published before paid subscriptions open.

## 1. The service

AlkhemYst-Ai.cloud is a research workspace for datasets, pipelines, experiment runs, reports, publications, and AI-assisted work. It does not provide scientific, medical, legal, or regulatory advice. You remain responsible for checking outputs before relying on them.

## 2. Testing phase

Testing access is free and is provided without a service-level commitment. Features may change and maintenance may interrupt access. We will give reasonable notice before a planned change that affects access to stored work.

The Tester period starts when the account is created. When it ends, stored work remains readable and exportable. New uploads and runs may be paused. Nothing is charged unless an authorised person later chooses a paid plan under the paid terms then in force.

## 3. Accounts and authority

You must provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and use one account per person. Team access must use invitations or institutional sign-in, not shared passwords.

If you create or administer a workspace for an institution, you confirm that you are allowed to do so. Accepting these testing terms does not by itself sign a Data Processing Agreement or a paid institutional contract.

Users must be at least 16 years old. The service is not directed to children.

## 4. Your content

You or your institution keep all rights in content placed on the service. You give us only the permission needed to store, process, display, back up, and return that content while providing the service.

We do not use private workspace content to train general-purpose or third-party AI models. We do not sell it.

You must have the right and a lawful basis to upload and process the content. Do not upload special-category personal data, identifiable health data, criminal-offence data, or data about children unless a written agreement and an approved data protection assessment expressly cover that use.

## 5. Acceptable use

You must not:

- use the service unlawfully or infringe another person's rights;
- upload data you are not allowed to use;
- try to bypass workspace isolation, access controls, limits, or security controls;
- run malware, cryptocurrency mining, denial-of-service activity, or security testing without written permission;
- use invitations, publications, or messaging for spam;
- use an AI output as the sole basis for a legal or similarly significant decision about a person.

We may pause activity that creates a security, legal, or operational risk. Where it is safe and lawful, we will explain the reason and what is needed to restore access.

## 6. AI-assisted work

The service marks AI-assisted functions in the interface. Generated code, text, classifications, and analysis can be incomplete or wrong. A person must review consequential work before publication, deployment, or use in a decision.

The intended use of a model matters more than the label of the tool. A customer planning a use covered by the EU AI Act must classify that use, complete the required records, and obtain any approval needed before deployment. Prohibited uses are not permitted.

## 7. Security and availability

We use access controls, tenant separation, encrypted transport, backups, audit records, and restricted execution environments. No online service can promise absolute security. You should keep an independent copy of work that cannot be recreated.

Report a suspected vulnerability to security@alkhemyst-ai.cloud. Do not include personal or confidential data in the first report.

## 8. Export, suspension, and closing an account

You can export supported resources in documented, commonly used formats. The current formats and switching process are described in the Data Portability and Service Exit document.

When an account or contract ends, we will allow a reasonable retrieval period unless access must be stopped for security or legal reasons. Active data is then deleted under the retention schedule. Encrypted backups expire through their normal rotation. Legal and accounting records may be kept for the period required by law.

## 9. Liability during testing

The testing service is provided as available. To the extent Norwegian law permits, AlkhemYst-Ai AS is not responsible for indirect loss, loss caused by unverified AI output, or content that a user was not entitled to upload. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

Any consumer rights that apply to you remain unchanged.

## 10. Changes

The version and content hash recorded at account creation identify the terms accepted. A later edit does not change that record. If a material new version applies, we will show it and ask for a new acceptance before relying on it.

## 11. Law and disputes

Norwegian law governs these terms. The ordinary Norwegian courts have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer venue or consumer protection rule that applies.
